The £13 million Hub, EK leisure development at EK, East Kilbride has become the first Scottish project in nine years to pick up a prestigious Revo Gold Award.
The 70,000 sq ft scheme at Scotland’s largest undercover shopping centre was awarded the accolade in the Re:fresh+ category at the 2017 Awards programme, which recognises outstanding achievement in the UK’s retail industry.
Opened in November 2016, The Hub, EK offers visitors a range of leisure features, including eight restaurants and cafes, state-of-the-art climbing wall and Hi-Ride adventure course, refurbished ice rink, gym, soft play and Europe’s first ODEON Luxe cinema.
The leisure development is situated at the heart of EK, East Kilbride shopping centre. At 1.2 million sq ft the centre is the largest of its kind in Scotland, with over 150 high street retailers.
